On the Lonely roads of this empty city,
don't know what I am searching for,
even my shadow doesn't love me,
it demands light if I want it to be,
I have walked a song,
I have walked in these ruins for so long,
What I wanted I never got,
for what I deserved I never fought,
Even what was my dream,
once came and I was lost,
I walk in the moonlight,
I run from the sun,
I am afraid of the darkness,
yet it's the light that I shun,
I am a man of constant sorrow,
it's the sorrow that loves me,
I think I should return, to where I belong,
it's the sorrow that has been waiting for me for long.
